Karachi(Cliff News)Prof. Masood Hameed Khan, Vice Chancellor, Dow University meet PG’s of DUHS on Monday 13th February 2017 at Dow Medical College Campus, DUHS, to address PGs working in Civil Hospital Karachi.The PGs have great unrest as in the province of Punjab, KPK and a few places in Sindh also, their stipend has been increased by the provincial Govts.The Dow University have also submitted several reminders to health and finance department of Sindh Govt. through Secretary to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Universities and Boards to provide enhanced stipend amount of PGs to be given to them. Despite several attempts the approved amount has not been received by DUHS.All the above mentioned facts and efforts were told to the PGs by the VC, DUHS. They were asked not to go on strike by virtue of which poor patients will suffer. He further informed them, That DUHS will continue to pursue these efforts and in this connection will re inform them in the next meeting.
