Karachi (Cliff News) In a well attended meeting of over 70 representatives of Trade and Industry of the UBG Central Core Committee meeting held at Lahore under the Charimanship of Iftikhar Malik, it was unanimously decided to nominate Mr. Zubair Tufail as its candidate for the Presidential election of FPCCI 2017.The meeting was attended by S.M. Munir, Patron-in-Chief, President FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam, Zubair Tufail, Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, Sr. Vice Chairman UBG, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Khalid Tawwab, Shaikh Riaz, Mian Aziz ur Rehman Chan, Zafar Bakhtawari, Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Gulzar Firoz, Abdul Sami Khan, Hanif Gohar, Ikhtiar Baig, Engr. Daroo Khan Achakzai, Mumtaz Shaikh, Waqar M.Mian, Jumma Khan, Miss Aryana, Naheed Masood, Shereen Arshad, Shaikh Manzoor, Shabnam Zafar, Noor Ahmed Khan, Malik Sohail, Dr. Noman, Ghazanfar Bilour, Shakil Dhingra, Naseemur Rehman, Haji Afzal, Atta Bajwa, Ch. Zahid and others.In the meeting it was also decided unanimously that disciplinary action may be taken against Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo and Mr. Yahya Polani who inspite of attending the Sindh Zone Core Committee (S.Z) where they had agreed recently to continue as members and part of UBG and where they had categorically stated that they will not form any other group but yet they have yesterday in a press release have announced formation of their own group and therefore the Central Core Committee of UBG has decided to terminate their membership from UBG.Mr. Gulzar Firoz, Chief Spokesman, further informed that the name of candidate for Sr. Vice President and Vice Presidents would be announced by 30th October 2016. The name of SVP will be decided by Central Core Committee where as the names of VPs will be decided by the Zonal Committees.The house highly appreciated the efforts of Mr. Iftikhar Malik, S.M. Munir and Abdul Rauf Alam and former President Mohammad Adrees for making all efforts to complete Islamabad FPCCI building which will be formally inaugurated in first week of November 2016. The house highly appreciated the work of present President Mr. Abdul Rauf Alam and Mr. Khalid Tawwab, Sr. Vice President and appreciated their efforts in fulfilling their duties and also the house appreciated the efforts of Vice Presidents. Members of the Core Committee expressed full faith and confidence in the leadership of Mr. Iftikhar Malik and S.M. Munir and were sure in the forth coming election of FPCCI, UBG will make a clean sweep and were confident that Mr. Zubair Tufail will prove to be the right choice for the presidentship.
