Suresh Menon ITF Development Officer Asia will visit Pakistan

Islamabad(Cliff News)The  International Tennis Federation ,s Asia,s Senior  Development Officer  Suresh Menon is visiting Pakistan from 21st to 23rdSeptember 2016, He is arriving Islamabad  on 21st early morning flight.He will meet  the Mr. Salim Saifullah Khan, President PTF and  other PTF & ITA officials,  main points of discussions are PTF  Junior Development Program,  Coaches Education Program and  progress  achieved during recent years.Kamran Khalil , PTF JTI national Coordinator and Muhammad Khalid Rehmani will give a power point presentation on JTI activities and Coaches education program during his visit to Islamabad.Beside his meetings with President & ITA officials in Islamabad , PTF has planned his visits  to  S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex , Islamabad and other cities like Lahore & Karachi where ITF Junior Tennis Initiative program being run  with the support of Punjab Lawn Tennis Association, and Sindh Tennis Association, He will also meet provincial tennis Officials during his visits to respective cities.PTF  has made it mandatory from January 1st this year that all national tournaments must have a 10 & under event and would be played with green dot soft balls , These balls are being  provided free of cost to all organizers in country.Now  from this month onwards PTF is introducing Red foam ball  tournaments in national tournaments and also as exclusive championships.PTF has sent directives to  Islamabad Tennis Association, Punjab Lawn Tennis Association and Sindh Tennis Association to hold one such event when Mr. Suresh Menon visits their area of Jurisdiction.( Soft Foam balls are already sent to these associations. These  tournaments are meant for beginners and under 12 years of age, and being played at Half of the normal length courts. ( small nets are also available with Associations.)It is pertinent to mention that PTF has already initiated  Coaches Education program since January 2016 with a Pre ITF level One  Green Badge Coaching Course in Karachi in January which was attended by  28 Coaches  out of which 11 went on passing it and became PTF Green Badge national Coach and second such course was held in Lahore early this  August which was attended by 35 coaches and 13 passed it, In  PTF Coaches Education Program series All 63 coaches from across the country are taught the junior Tennis coaching techniques with modern Physical training tactics.PTF is planning to hold one more such Course in Islamabad later this year.
