SJAS XI won the Iqbal Day Shaheen Pakistan Cup

Karachi (Staff Reporter)In a friendly match, played between Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) and BTK at Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium, to celebrate Iqbal day, SJAS XI batted first and scored 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted overs. Suleman Khan scored 46 runs, while Muzamil Asif contributed 22 runs to the team score. Mohammad Talal of BTK Stars bagged two wickets.In reply, BTK Stars were all out for 130 runs, losing by 16 runs. On the occasion, renowned social leader Ahmad Chohan said, “Winning or losing is part of the game, but seeing sports journalists play on the field today, it’s clear they have mastered cricket along with reporting. We will maintain friendly relations with SJAS”At the end of the match, SJAS President Mehmood Riaz and Secretary Shahid Saati presented commemorative shields to chief guest Ahmad Chohan, Sardar Kamran Khan, and Sheikh Sajid Karim. Ahmad Chohan and Pakistan Sports Writers Federation Secretary General Asghar Azeem distributed prizes among the players and presented them all with Ajrak, a traditional Sindhi attire.
