Islamabad(Cliff News)Court Case has been withdrawn from honorable Islamabad High Court as per Lausanne Agreement, (Court order attached). Required to be submitted to POA for ending the long outstanding issues.We are pleased to inform that on the direction of President PJF Col. Rana Shujaat Ali and its unanimous approval by General Council, PJF has withdrawn the Court Case, which was lodged against POA in 2012. Thus, a long outstanding issue stands resolved between POA and PJF. POA had directed PJF in last two meetings to withdraw the court case as per Lausanne Agreement (which was signed between two factions of Pak Sports in IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland) to end this outstanding issue, which was a hurdle to have a good standing with POA. It is pertinent to mention that POA had invited PJF to use right of vote in its elections but in PJF elections referred to the said Agreement and made it conditional to withdraw case from Islamabad high court.While referring to the details of agreement which says:“All pending cases before the ordinary courts in Pakistan in relation to the POA will be withdrawn with immediate effect, and that any FUTURE sports-related/institutional disputes in relation to the POA will be addressed in accordance with the dispute-resolution mechanisms established in the POA Constitution, in line with the usual practice within the Olympic Movement.After withdrawing the case implies that all previous issues stand resolved.PJF has now urged that be sides including Judo in National games, POA will now cooperate with PJF in its main task of promoting the game of Judo which has been a source of honour for the country in the recent South Asian Games INDIA 2016, where Judo being the only sport whose all players returned with medals as well as won gold in men and women category first time in history. Moreover first time in history a Judo player from Pakistan qualified for Rio Olympics 2016.In previous two meetings of Pakistan Olympic Association has discussed that Federation who had filed court cases against POA will first withdraw their cases from honorable courts then there games will be Included in the upcoming 33rd National Games to be held at the end of this calendar year in Quetta Pakistan.President of Pakistan Judo Federation Col.Rana Shujaat Ali, hopes that Judo will be included in the country’s biggest event after withdrawal the case against POA.In the end Secretary General Pakistan Judo Federation said that we pledge to work with full dedication along with all sporting bodies in only one direction i.e. promotion of Judo.
