National Junior Snooker Training Camp Successfully Commenced at PSB Sports Complex

Karachi(Cliff News) National Training Coaching Camp for the National Junior players of Pakistan has successfully commenced at the PSB Sports Complex, Snooker Hall in Islamabad. The Association through its efforts has acquired the services of a foreign coach from Iran-Mr. Soheil Vahedi a renowned Snooker Player & Coach (also the current World & Asian Team Champion-Gold Medalist) to coach our players.The Association is grateful to the Pakistan Sports Board and the Ministry of IPC for extending their necessary support to sponsor this first event National Snooker Training Camp under the supervision of a qualified foreign coach who will provide the necessary Training/Coaching in four (4) quarterly visits in one year.The official Opening/Inauguration of the National Camp was held today in Islamabad and the Honorable Minister Sports IPC, MianRiaz Hussain Pirzada was kind enough to grace the occasion along with the following officials of the IPC/PSB and the undersigned were present at the ceremony.

The Minister Sports on behalf of the Ministry IPC welcomed the Snooker Coach of Iran-Mr. Soheil Vahedi to Pakistan and also highly appreciated and lauded the efforts of the Association for promoting the game of Snooker in Pakistan and also assured to support the Association in their future endeavors.The Minister Sports acknowledged the untiring efforts of Mr. Alamgir A. Shaikh, President-PBSA and the achievements of the Association during these past many years under his able guidance and graciously announced that he has nominated Mr. Alamgir A. Shaikh President-PBSA a representation on the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Sports Board.The President-PBSA, Mr. Alamgir A. Shaikh thanked the Minister for acknowledging the efforts of the Association and also for bestowing upon him the honour of representation in the PSB Executive Committee. Furthermore, the President expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Sports Board and the Ministry of IPC for hosting this National Snooker Training Camp in their premises in Islamabad.
