Karachi(Cliff News )25th National men and 8th National Women Judo Championship organized by Pakistan Judo Federation in collaboration with Pakistan Army, scheduled to be held from 13th to 18th February 2017 at PSB Sports Complex Islamabad.The Director of Army Sports Directorate Brig. Ghulam Jillani inaugurated the 25th National men and 8th National women Senior Judo Championship. The Director General of Pakistan Sports Board Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera and President of Pakistan Judo Federation Col. Junaid Alam were present at the occasion. A parade was also demonstrated at the occasion.First day competition of the 25th Men held in two categories i.e., Open and -50 KG while the competitions of 8th Women National championship held in Open weight only.In the Open weight category of men Shah Hussain Shah from Pakistan Army got Gold, Mr. Yousaf from Wapda got Silver while Salman from Pak Police and Hamid from Navy got Bronze medals, like wise in the open weight category of women Fouzia Yasir from Wapda got gold, Fazilat from Navy got Silver while Amna from Pak Army and Arifa from HEC got bronze medals.In -50 Kg weight category of Men Iftikhar Ahmed from Pak Army got gold, Liaqat from Wapda got silver while Hogan from HEC and Akbar from KP got Bronze medals.Today the Departments’ Judokas were dominant.Tomorrow the competitions of men will be held under -55 and -60kg while the competition of women will be held in -44 and -48 kg from 10am to 5pm.
