Lahore(Cliff News)In a first of its kind, around 40 former hockey internationals, many of them with experience in coaching, would gather at the Pakistan Hockey Federation HQ in Lahore for a brain storming session on Tuesday.These stalwarts from different eras would discuss in detail, playing styles/patterns of hockey, past and present. In the light of the discussion, they would try to suggest a general pattern of play based on the traditional Pakistani style as well as incorporating the modern requirements necessitated by a number of rule changes. The’ recommended pattern’ might form the basis of coaching in the country from the grass roots upwards.In addition, the forum would also review the one year performance of the present set up of the PHF and its efforts for revival of hockey in the country. Federation’s Vision 2020 Programme will also be discussed
