Hindu-Muslim Fraternity Prevails on Diwali

Karachi(Cliff News)A golden example of Hindu-Muslim fraternity, the vivid colours of Diwali prevailed all over Sindh yesterday when both Muslims and Hindus celebrated the holy occasion together with great enthusiasm and joy. In line with the true spirit of Diwali, the Al-Khidmat Foundation Sindh organized several gift-distribution ceremonies to observe the occasion and double the delight of Hindu believers this year throughout the province.Started from October 27 to 29, 2016, several ceremonies were held by the Foundation in some 18 mandirs located in various cities such as Sukkur, Ghotki, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur. On the occasions, special gifts, e.g. 18 water coolers, 1 thousand pieces of stitched clothing and some 100 quilts were distributed among the Hindu community gathered in droves at Shamshan Ghat (cremation ground), Thal Mahadev Mandir, Samadha Ashram in Sukkur, at Panchayat Hall and Shivalin Mandir, Dherki, District Ghotki, at Sacho Satram Das in Shikarpur and at the Kundan Geer Maharaj and Shev Mahadev Mandir, District Jacobabad.“The Al-Khidmat Foundation has been always in a forefront, providing an essential help to the needy and celebrating the holy festivals of those who are commonly referred to as minorities in the country,” said, Syed Ahsan Ullah Waqas, Senior Vice President, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Pakistan.Among those who were present on the occasion were Asadullah Bhutto, former member of the National Assembly and incumbent Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh, Dr. Meraj-Ul-Huda Siddiqui, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Sindh, Dr. Shankar Lal, Member, Minority Desk, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Sindh and Khair Mohammad Tino, Programme Director, Disaster Management, Al-Khidmat Foundation, Sindh.
