Dow University to hold International Symposium on Obesity & Quality of Life

(KarachiCliffNews): Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in collaboration with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia is jointly organizing a 3-days “International Symposium on Obesity and Quality of Life” from November 15 – 17, 2016 at DUHS Ojha Campus. The theme of the Symposium is “Fight Obesity to Optimize Quality of Life”. The aim of the Symposium is to Address Obesity as a key problem affecting quality of life, highlight clinical outcomes of Obesity, integrate basic and clinical research/management to fight and to develop weight loos strategy applicable to all. It also aims to bring together Consultants, Basic Science Researchers, Community Health Experts, Physiotherapists, Nutritionists, General Practitioners, Postgraduate Students and General Public under a single platform to discuss Basic Research in Obesity and Islamic Ideology of Quality of Life. The Core Committee member of the Symposium includes Prof. Masood Hameed Khan, Founding Vice Chancellor, DUHS Prof. M. Masroor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, DUHS and Prof. Mahadzirah Mohamad, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia. Experts from Pakistan and abroad will be presenting their research papers in the field of Obesity during the 3-days International Symposium. The event focuses on the multifaceted issues confronted during Obesity and its management.
