Aghosh Home celebrates Mother’s Day with Shelterless Mothers

Karachi(Cliff News)In a heartfelt and emotionally moving gathering, Aghosh Home Trust celebrated Mother’s Day with the resident mothers and differently-abled orphan girls living at Aghosh Home, a shelter that has been serving abandoned elderly women and physically challenged orphan girls for the past 25 years under the leadership of its President, Ms. Shugafta Saba.

The event brought together distinguished personalities from different walks of life who paid tribute to the strength, sacrifices and dignity of mothers residing at Aghosh Home. The ceremony reflected the spirit of compassion, humanity and social responsibility while highlighting the importance of caring for vulnerable segments of society.

The graceful event was attended by several renowned personalities including Barrister Shahida Jamil, Seema Mughal, Ambassador (R) Hasan Habib, Abdul Rauf Tabani, Dr. Nasaka, Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi, Brigadier (R) Karrar Hussain, Saim Junaid Malik, Ali Zeb, Ateeq Ur Rehman, Haji Masood Parekh, Mehvish Parekh, Jimmy Engineer and Noman Ahmed along with many other dignitaries, social workers and members of civil society.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ms. Kainat, a blind and differently-abled resident girl of Aghosh Home. Her soulful recitation deeply touched the audience and set a spiritual tone for the event. Another resident mother presented a beautiful Naat-e-Maqbool, which further added to the emotional atmosphere of the gathering.

One of the most touching moments of the ceremony came when some of the resident mothers shared their personal life stories and experiences. Several women narrated how circumstances, loneliness and helplessness had brought them to Aghosh Home where they found care, dignity and a family-like environment. Their emotional accounts moved many guests to tears and reminded the audience about the growing social responsibility toward elderly and abandoned women in society.

Addressing the gathering, the distinguished guests highly appreciated the tireless efforts of Ms. Shugafta Saba and the management of Aghosh Home Trust for dedicating their lives to the welfare of shelterless mothers and differently-abled orphan girls. Speakers described the services being rendered by Aghosh Home as a remarkable humanitarian mission and stressed the need for greater public support for welfare organizations working for vulnerable communities.

Barrister Shahida Jamil praised the commitment and resilience of the management and stated that institutions like Aghosh Home are a symbol of hope and humanity in society. Ambassador (R) Hasan Habib, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the importance of respecting and caring for elderly mothers who often become neglected in modern society. He remarked that Mother’s Day should not only be a symbolic celebration but also a reminder of society’s duty toward mothers who need emotional and physical support.

The guests also spent time with the resident mothers and orphan girls, cutting a Mother’s Day cake and sharing moments of affection and encouragement.
