Cliff Pakistan: What inspired you to become anartist?
Furqan Faisal: The inspiration came from my Father and Sadequain but the Flare is my own. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my Methodology is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different projects they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work. Each project often consists of multiple works, often in a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work. Cliff Pakistan: Why did you take sculpture as a Medium of arts?
Furqan Faisal:As an Artist, I use All kind of medium to express my feelings about the things that affects me; I work hard to develop paintings that speak both to me and to others about the beauty that exists in the ruins of ancient societies. Part of my process before I begin painting is to read as much as I can about the Specific set of ruins I am about to recreate on canvas. I do not merely want to capture the image with my brushes, rather, with careful, colorful strokes, I want to give that society life once more.
Cliff Pakistan: What is that you portray in your art?
Furqan Faisal:I try with every finished work to breathe life into a long forgotten culture so that its designs, ideas, innovations, and lifestyle are displayed on my canvas. The challenge, as with any recreated moment from the past, is to not caricature the moment and instead capture it in all its former Glory. My artwork speaks, not only for me, but for people who were long ago silenced.
Cliff Pakistan :What else do you want to do?
Furqan Faisal:I always work for humanity and peace for various NGOs. I have given titles of Ambassador Art & Culture for: Global Village Forum and International Blue Cross & Blue Crescent – United Kingdom. And Director Art at World Peace Committee, Jakarta – Indonesia,Because of my services for the art and culture and to the global peace and prosperity for the Humanities. I always been in creative activities and create conceptual Art and Events for a Private Production company and associated with many others Art Related projects and nationally and internationally.

Commendation from Pakistan Army
The purpose of this Letter is to formally and Publicly commend with utmost appreciation of Mr. Furqan Faisal for the excellent creative service he provided to Regional Workshop-602 EME, Pakistan Army – Karachi, Pakistan through-out the Art Project and Redecorate by his Mural Painting work. In my opinion, the level of creative services that Mr. Furqan Faisal provided to Regional Workshop-602 EME was far beyond our expectations.
I have never before written a letter like this on an entirely unsolicited basis. However, in this case I was so impressed by the kind of art service provided by Ms. Furqan Faisal and his creativity that I felt compelled to go on record with my praise. He truly deserves it. In an era where exceptional creative service excellence has virtually disappeared from our industry, the work that Mr. Furqan Faisal did should be held up as an example for others to try to emulate.
What particularly impressed us about the level of service provided by Mr. Furqan Faisal, He has performed every challenge I brought to him with absolute professionalism, courtesy, timeliness and impeccable technical skill. In addition, he is a muralist, sculptor, a noteworthy artist himself, and the absolute gentleman.
All of these elements are incorporated into his analysis of a project. It appears that it was simply the extraordinary commitment to excellence in creative service and support that motivated artists to always go the extra mile. His example even had a positive impact on the attitude and productivity of our art industry!

He said…
Furqan Faisal [Artist Muralist Sculptor]has a very unique style of free form painting that draws a lot of attention both when it is happening and for the completed work. As his work gains popularity and generates press and media interest commercial businesses are now also seeing the value in using his artwork and style of painting to benefit themselves and their businesses presence. People always think that it costs a lot of money, but Furqan Faisal loves working on murals, Oil Painting and sculptures, businesses are often surprised at what he charges.
Cliff Pakistan:Where do you see your work in the future?
QFurqan Faisal:I am driven to be the best at what I do and I want to work somewhere where I’ll have opportunities to develop my skills, take on interesting projects, and work with people I can really learn from. Some of the most innovative thinkers in the industry work here and around the world that’s a big reason why I would love to build a global forum and want to gather artists from all over the world to come together on one platform.
Cliff Pakistan: Your dreams and aspirations?
Furqan Faisal:I want to create a common global platform for artists where we can exhibit our creativity and express our thoughts and share our art works and interests through various creative forms of expressions.
Cliff Pakista:The future of Arts in Pakistan?
Furqan Faisal:The creative industries in Pakistan are underfunded and undervalued. Exceptional talent is visible in all disciplines, but a shortage of other necessary skills and business knowledge is hindering their success. Typically, the different sectors operate independently of higher education and of each other. Collaborative work is rare, which slows the progression of the industry as a whole.
Cliff Pakistan:Are the circumstances favorable for arts in Pakistan?
Furqan Faisal:Each creative industry sector comes with specific challenges: authors struggle with intellectual property and piracy issues; artists face unprofessional production and marketing processes, films are under pressure by influential distributors; and performances face security restrictions. Even if these internal challenges are overcome, the audience often falls to a small urban clientele. This causes several artists and practitioners to hold more than one job as many have no expectation that their creative work will become a full-time activity. Furthermore, many practitioners do not feel validated until they receive international recognition.
The negative perception of Pakistan externally is also damaging to the progress of the country’s contemporary creative industries. International business partners fail to acknowledge the Pakistani element of projects, often for fear of undermining clients’ confidence. This weakens substantial opportunities in global markets and possibly places a ceiling on the prices that Pakistan can charge for its creative economy. Furthermore, some feel that not conforming to stereotypical perceptions of Pakistan is a way of becoming more successful internationally.
Cliff Pakistan: What is your future plan?
Furqan Faisal:My goal is to achieve mental satisfaction in life. For example, if a person is not satisfied with his work, he will not be able to work from his heart and mind and his productivity is more likely to fall down.
Journalist’s Assessment about Furqan Faisal “Hamzah Haider”
Artist always want to reveal and do the optimistic work efforts to satisfy himself, as per my assessment criteria, Furqan Faisal is one of the genuine artist who is onerously gratifying its own entity. Basically in his wood work, there are several dimensions and he demonstrates the bodies by cutting wood and made shapes shrewdly. In his art work, every entity is directing him for the exegetical work in the era of globalization. The wood works and sculptures of Furqan is the main identity by which he can show his inner identity to the surrounding, his art work is also present at the workshop of Army. Core commander of Karachi give the award because of his gigantic nature of work.
Furqan is entirely working as a solicitor of his own entity and he is trying to stow himself in the strange environment. He also colour the canvas and trying to heal him and others by compositions and colour treatment. He also paints on canvas and his colour combination is totally different from other artists. The methodology of Furqan Faisal towards canvas pertains to inner corroboration and calculations. No doubt, Furqan Faisal is trying to solve the sums of life by his own created formulas and he instantly apply the formulas on canvas or by cutting woods, making sculptures. The new artist usually make their identity by commercial aspects and paints the relevant data for generating revenue, Furqan Faisal is not working on the data whether it is qualitative or quantitative, he limits himself to make the antique and unique comportment for the societal success.
Surrealism is also observed in his art work, because Furqan is the man of thought and psychological player. But we cannot declare his painting in mode of surrealism as a technical interference of cubism is also found to be optimal in his practices. The acceleration of Furqan is noticed and his colors and artworks are the reel of his imagining thoughts.
