(LahoreCliffNews): Punjab University has won title of 3rd All Pakistan HEC Inter University Women Hockey Championship 2016-17 held at Johar Town Hockey Stadium, Lahore. The championship was organized by Punjab University Women Sports Department in which as many as eight teams took part which was played on the combination league. In semi final, Punjab University won the match against Karachi University by 5-1 Second semi final was won by Lahore College for Women University against Imperial University by 3-1 while Imperial University stood 3rd beating Karachi University. Final was held between Punjab University and Lahore College for Women University. Punjab University won by 1-0 maintaining its position at the top. Left in Aqsa scored the final goal. Both the teams were appreciated by Chief Guest Mr. Shahbaz Ahmad Sr. Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation for their performance. He also appreciated standard of the match. PU Director Sports Shamsa Hashmi thanked all the team managers and chief guest for their participation.
