Pakistan Judo Team Reached to UAE for Grand Slam

Islamabad(Cliff News)Pakistan Judo Team consisting of 3 Judokas, and 1 Team Official and one Coach reached to UAE for participation in Judo Grand Slam.In Grand Slam 34 Countries from all over the world participated with 157 Athletes out of them 96 are male and 61 are Female Judokas.The Judokas will compete in -73, -81 and -100Kg weight category. In -73 Mr. Nadeem Akram will against Azerbaijanian Judoka Guluzada, Fagan, in -83Kg Mr. Qaisar khan will against Dewit Frank of Netherland while Wajahat Sarwar in -100Kg weight Category will fight with Serikbayev, Aibak of Kazakhstan. Nadeem Akram for the first time participated in Grand Slam while Qaisar khan has just initiated his International career by taking part in Grand Slam.Wajahat Sarwar has participated in World Junior and Senior Judo Championship and Grand Slam. He will fight with 19th World Ranker Azerbaijanian Judoka if wajahat will defeat to his rival in his first fight.Pakistan Judo federation has focused on 2020 Olympics, for which PJF has providing International exposure to its  Judokas that they improved their techniques and experience and these all is being done with the cooperation of Pakistan Sports Board.
