Lahore(Cliff News)Football legends of Committee for Restoration and Improvement of Football activities in Pakistan have unanimously elected Mian Abbas as Pattern-in-Chief, Asif Khakwani as President and Amjad Zakria as Member Committee.First meeting of the committee was held at Jallo Park to elect the Pattern-in-Chief, President and new member of the committee. Committee members Ghulam Sarwer Teddy, Sharafat Ali, Zahid Luqman, Muhammad Imtiaz Butt, Haroon Yousuf and Agha Muhammad Ajmal has unanimously elected Mian Abbas as Pattern-in-Chief, Asif Khakwani as President and Amjad Zakria as Member Committee. Mian Abbas from Lahore is a well known and respected figure of football fraternity of Pakistan; Mr. Asif Khakwani is an undisputed soccer celebrity from Bahawalnagar and football legend Amjad Zakria is a galaxy of zenith of Kabirwala.The prevailing two year long stagnation in Pakistani football is about to end. Pakistani football legends have formed a committee comprising of former national and international player to break the logjam and bring the local sport to international levels. The basic purpose of this committee is to bring national football into international main stream along with improvement at local, departmental, national, international, club and league level. This would lead to a continuity in football and will usher an era of prosperity and better jobs for players. These former legends would teach, train, practice and organize football at grass root level, which will eventually popularize football. The aim is to practically prepare internationally competitive footballers and benefit youth from exposure to legends.
