Islamabad (Cliff News)The Executive Body and General Council meeting of Pakistan Judo Federation held yesterday (13thFebruary) at PSB Sports Complex, Islamabad. The Executive Body meeting held at 5pm. The meeting was chaired by the president of Pakistan Judo Federation Col. Junaid Alam. He welcomed all the participants.The activity report (2016) of the Secretary General, PJF participation in international events 2017 and affiliation to new units were discussed in the meeting.The General Council meeting held at 6pm. All the affiliated units 4 Provinces, Islamabad, FATA, Army, Wapda, Railway, and Police along with Navy, HEC and AJK participated in the meeting. All the agendas discussed in the Executive Body meeting (as mentioned above) approved in the GCM meeting. The instructions were given to implement the new rules of IJF in all the event of Judo.Affiliation to Higher Education Commission was given in the Meeting.Inter Provincial and Junior Judo Championships will be held in end 2017 under arrangements balochistan judo association and the Next National Judo Championship was allocated to Pakistan Railways.The President of Pakistan Judo Federation informed the house that there is no case of Pakistan Judo Federation in any Court against Pakistan Olympic Association (POA). PJF fully recognises POA as elected body and it is required that all sports stakeholders should be on one Grid only then we can achieve results. PJF with its affiliated Units will do its best for the promotion of Judo, for which we need the cooperation of POA and PSB.He further said that request for inclusion of selected Judokas was sent to POA with a copy to PSB for forthcoming Islamic games and still their response is awaited.Executive Body and General Council Meeting of Pakistan Judo Federation
