Lahore(Cliff News)Five more football legends have decided to joined board of the Committee for the Restoration of Football Activities (CRFA), their inclusion in the august body was announced after approval of Mian Abbas, Pattern-in-Chief, and Asif Khakwani President, CRFA.According to the press release issued hereby CRFA, the newly inducted members are: Tanveer-ul-Hussnain, Mohammad Khalid Khan, Amir Kalia all from Lahore, Ashfaq Ahmed from Sahiwal, Tariq Mateera from Bahawalnagar and Naveed Ahmed from Multan.Tanveer-ul-Hassnain represented Pakistan from 1986 to 1993 and vice captain in 1993, Mohammad Khaled Khan played for Pakistan from 1992 to 1995, vice captain Pakistan U-16 team and Captain of Pakistan A team, Ashfaq Ahmd represented Pakistan from 1997 to 2003, Amir Kalia represented from 1993 to 2003 and Captain 19 in 1996, Tariq Mateera a renowned goalkeeper represented Pakistan from 1992 to 2001 and vice captain U-16 team and Naveed Ahmed was greened for Pakistan from 2003 to 2009.

The basic purpose of this committee is to bring national football into international main stream along with improvement at local, departmental, national, international, club and league level. This would lead to a continuity in football and will usher an era of prosperity and better jobs for players. These former legends would teach, train, practice and organize football at grass root level, which will eventually popularize football. The aim is to practically prepare internationally competitive footballers and benefit youth from exposure to legends.
